The Almighty God has arrived to live among us. His name is Jesus, Emmanuel – God with us. God says, I will come and dwell with them. They shall be my people and I will be their God. Moses said to the people of Israel, For what nation is there so great, who has God so near to them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call on him for? How much more blessed is our life that the Lord Jesus dwells in us and walks with us?
Psalm 121 says ‘My help cometh from the Lord which made the heavens and the earth’. The hands that fashioned the heavens and the earth, those very hands are the ones that aid, comfort, succors, provide, support, protect and sustain me. Truly He is a mighty God and Savior. And as Mary sings, I too can sing:
“and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant”
And as God rejoices over me, I will rejoice in Him and rest in His love.
The answer to this week’s question:
Manna was like white coriander seeds, and tasted ‘wafers made with honey’. (Read Exodus 16:31)
