People who are Christians ought to behave as such. If they are indeed the followers of the teachings of Jesus Christ then they should follow those teachings. For instance Jesus said, no one can come to the Father but by me. What Jesus said is this – beside Me there is no other. So why do some “Christians” say that there are other ways to heaven, that Jesus is not the only way, and in fact there are many ways to heaven. A “Christian” who accepts the notion that there are other ways is actually saying that what Jesus said is not the truth.
Christianity is exclusive. Jesus Himself said “you cannot serve two masters”. You can only have Jesus and no one else. There is no room for others. He, the Lord takes up all space. And how can it be otherwise. Scripture says “behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain” Him; He is the all in all. He is the one in Whom all things consist and, it is in Him that you live and move and have your being. And He is before all things, and by Him all things consists.
Should people be offended if you hold fast to what you believe? Should they be offended that you testify that Christ is the only way? Should they be offended that that you proclaim one can become right with God only by accepting Christ’s atonement on the cross of Calvary? The answer to those questions is NO, because one should be true to the belief that they affirm or else they are liars and hypocrites. However, the reality is that people will be offended. And then again, so what if people are offended? Do we seek to please men or God?
If we start each day, seeking to please God and standing for Him, we will find that we will worry less and less of what people may think and stand taller and more sure of ourselves than we ever were before. The more we lose our selves to our Lord Jesus, the more we will find our selves.
